"Celebrity" and Root

There's lots going on at theDesignLab, but we also find other things alluring...see what we're into other than grinding out gorgeous gear ;)

Went to Steven Forster's "Celebrity" Photography Show at the Satellite Gallery in New Orleans tonight. It was a packed house and he deserves every second of the success! He'll be on display the entire month of December, so catch him while you can, it's worth your time, promise!

Family posing with Dr John

LOTS of celebrities, a couple Saints snuck in there...

Squeezing room only! Packed gallery and my favorite image of Angelina watching over the room :)

Also had a great pre-show meal at Root on Julia St - the preparation and displays were worth the trip; tasted great too!  Our waiter compared the chef to Willy Wonka, and some of his creations seen below definitely explained why!
Fois Gras Dippin Dots...this chef is crazy...

"Foilly Pop" - fois gras with pop rocks inside?!?!

Gotta style the bump appropriately ;)

Got myself a handyman...

If any of you actually knew my husband, you might laugh at the post title...to say Alec is "handy" is a bit of an overstatement (thankfully he doesn't pay attention to this blog just yet, so I should be safe here...)

Anyway, I'm currently 7 months preggers, so a lot of my free time is spent preparing for our first baby - from room design, registering for the right gear, and definitely organizing our team schedule at theDesignLab to avoid too much disruption closer to delivery date (which is Mardi Gras Day, WHICH ALSO happens to be a week before Fashion Week here in New Orleans...I realize I'm in over my head here ;) )
